Jeff and Emily love being outdoors year round. They are raising their children on a small farm to help instill in them a strong work ethic and to root in them a deep connection to the land.  Their land helps feed Jeff's family and friends and provides opportunities for hiking, exploring, fishing, and hunting. What a gift to live in God's country -- let's treat it that way.

Wisconsin has a long history of being a leader in conservation. By being good stewards of our resources, we not only protect our land, air, and water, we preserve many of our traditions rooted in the outdoors -- from farming to fishing. We also secure longterm economic opportunity as we attract tourists and residents seeking a connection to our remarkable landscape.

When I reflect on my favorite days as a kid or my most memorable moments as a parent, most occurred in Wisconsin's great outdoors. Sledding with our kids in the winter, turkey hunting with my father-in-law or planting our garden in the spring, waterskiing, swimming, and fishing with my extended family in the summer, picking apples and hiking in the fall --

We are so fortunate to live in a state with four beautiful seasons. - Jeff
