Jeff, his family, and their dog, Charlie, live on a farm in the Bear Creek Township. They raise chickens, turkeys, and enough vegetables and apples to share with friends and store plenty for the winter. Hardworking dairy farmers nearby raise corn and hay on their tillable acreage.
Emily grew up on a farm and Jeff and Emily always knew they wanted to raise their children close to the land. Jeff and Emily have enjoyed working to restore the 1895 barn to help it see another century. After repairing the foundation, replacing the support beams, and cleaning out decades-old hay, the barn is now home to chickens and turkeys and hopefully larger livestock in the future.
